Leaving

Y'all, I can not say enough about this one -- I was completely blown away by this novel. I finished it in literal tears. Her writing is gorgeous, these characters feel complex and true-to-life, and even when they made infuriating decisions it was impossible not to root for Sarah and Warren. I am so, so excited Roxana Robinson has come to Norton!! - Abby

This is a story of love and it's complexities later in life, rich in insight and humanity with wonderful characters. Warren and Sarah were in love as teens but broke up and went in separate directions. They meet again by chance in their 60s and are once again drawn to each other. The circumstances of their lives have of course changed, and Warren has to choose between pursuing his passions and remaining in an unhappy marriage. This ends with a surprising and tragic conclusion that literally left me in tears and shock.
