Contract-killer Robbie McNeil knows never to ask questions. Just meet the client. Take the job. Get paid. Every dollar she makes from killing she puts straight into what she really loves: the karaoke bar she co-owns with her queerplatonic partner and fellow contract-killer, Dee. And it works . . . until the karaoke bar starts bleeding money. 

When a mysterious new client hires her for a hit, Robbie takes the job, desperate for cash. Even though it’s sketchy as hell that he won’t tell her anything beyond a name. But hey, she didn’t build her reputation by being curious.  

However, something about this particular target starts raising Robbie’s eyebrows, against her better judgement. And when her target disappears with no record he ever existed, she finds herself chucking her no-questions-asked policy out the window, determined to figure out who this target really is.

But there’s consequences to asking questions. And Robbie isn’t prepared for the answers she’ll find.
