How do you protect yourself from something you can’t remember?

It's the hottest summer on record and the city is suffering. Prices are high, pay is low, and stressed commuters are packed onto London Underground trains. Then one fateful morning five people in an unlucky tube car find themselves bound together as witnesses to a single horrific event. It is terrible. It is monstrous… And after it’s over, they can’t remember it.

They make an unlikely team: a weary tube driver, a disillusioned civil servant, an ambitious city trader, an overwhelmed hotel worker, and an unhoused young man just trying to get by. Now they must piece together what cosmic horror they saw – and stop it in its tracks before it drags everyone else down below.
